Thoughts behind changes:
I don't have enough time to add player upgrades and the cosmetic system but "Charmed" items fix both issues as well as giving the system an actual use. The cosmetic slots are now safety slots where you can store your charmed items in without fear of selling them accidentally.
Void access now being a resource that you have to pay for makes the player choose whether or not to spend their dust on a new island upgrade or to open up the void and risk a portion of their current supply of dust for more dust.
Defeating an enemy by charging into them will grant the player the chance to obtain special items only given from the enemy and will give the player at least more than 1 item from them.
Final Reflection:
The map turned out way more buggy than I wanted. Last minute change and it kept breaking for no reason. Beyond that I am very happy with this project. I feel most proud about the inventory system (it took the longest) and the enemy AI. Both of which I have never done before, Especially in 3D. Which I haven't done anything with at all since I've started making games. This was my first 3D game, and I would call it a success. I like how my simple systems made more complex things. Like the Dust Bunny AI is just looking at the player and hopping at them when they get close enough. I got nearly everything done off my burn down list. I made compromises in my changes above to clear off multiple things at once. I just didn't do the ambitious stuff. Everything else all at once was ambitious enough.
